 Re: Show Feedback
Hate that I missed it. Would have made it if some prick hadn't slashed one of my tires. Glad it turned out well. Hope next year is even better.

 Re: Show Feedback
Bryan did a great job of putting this together. I think everyone had a great time. One comment I did hear from a participant... They had hoped to see some "BIG" trucks there. I'm pretty sure it came from the gent that was driving the custom mini-peterbilt. Said he liked parking it next to a full sized Pete. The other guy he was chatting with also seemed to act like it would have been nice to see some BIG trucks. I've seen pictures from shows that are full of custom and vintage big rigs...maybe that could be another forum we need to search for to recruit participants for the next go round? Another group we may have overlooked (Not sure on this one, I know Bryan posted about this show on a lot of truck forums)....The lifted up diesel 4x4 crowd. You know the ones I'm talking about. The ones with the ginormous anounts of lift that never haul anything... They obviously have money (or credit) so we know they can afford $25 for a truck show. I know at the Rod Runs in Pigeon Forge those guys are fanatical about showing off their rigs. For an inaugural event, I think today was exceptional....And it has the potential to only get better if that's what Bryan and everyone else decides to do with it. I'm going to hit the sack....I'll work on going through and editing my pics in the morning....By the way...was my lens cap off???

 Re: Show Feedback
Uh...Was about to get in the bed when I thought of another group to invite to the next one....Military vehicles. You know, the Power Wagons, M37s & Jeeps. I'm positive that there are forums out there for them as well. I think one of them is Military Preservationist ...somethin somethin???? Anyway, it's something to think about. G'nite

I know that at least 5 people took pic's, you know who you are, so hopefully sometime today after they are rested we will get to see some killer pictures. Right?

Re: Show Feedback ~ The "Aftermath" Thread
Kudos to Brian for all his hard work in the show! The wife and I had a great time! The trophies were killer, and I thought the turn-out was great! Not a fan of the minis crowd, but that's just the grumpy old man inside me, lol. I will be posting pics soon, hopefully by this evening! PS It was a pleasure meetin some of the folks from the board! You guys rock

Re: Show Feedback ~ The "Aftermath" Thread
Thanks Brain and crew for having the forethought to do "your own thing". I personally think the show was a great success!!! ......and not because I won trophies. I can't wait to see what it will be next year. It's great to have something like this in our backyard.

Re: Show Feedback ~ The "Aftermath" Thread
Well, the first negative of the show. Some _________ took my banner down in the park. When I say took, I mean stole. Unless someone took it and planned on giving it back to me. I called the parks director and he talked to his guy who was working and said he had not seen it. Man, am I furious!!!!!

Re: Show Feedback ~ The "Aftermath" Thread
Brian, I thought we got all the banners. The last one we took down was a black one. I think someone handed it to Woody. And I think Woody may have it with him. Josh seems to think that it is supposed to be with Woody? Have you checked with everyone who was cleaning up? Woody, Craig, everyone? Perhaps someone put it up in one of the trucks you had? I'm sure we will find it. I just can't see someone trying to take it. Strange. Wish I could come help! :D ~jewels. BTW, the whole thing was a blast. I've posted lots of pics in the other thread. Enjoy! And THANK YOU to Brian -- you made it all happen. Can't wait until next year! :D

Re: Show Feedback ~ The "Aftermath" Thread
Jewels, this was the one that was at the road at the entrance. I had to go back out and grab the cones and bring them back to the police dept. I saw it at that time and realized I had forgotten it. Came back a few minutes ago and it was gone.

Hopefully someone will brag about it to someone else and it can be recovered in future? (Mention this on FB)

Sorry bout the sign...hopefully it turns up....
Checked out the pic threads...AWESOME show!!!
The show awards looked GREAT! Does anyone have pics of who won what awards? I recognize a few of the trucks from this board and from the other board.

I believe I remember several of the award recipients, so I will start a thread and maybe between us all we can piece it together :)

 Re: The "Aftermath" Thread
It's the same week as all the stuff at Woodward Ave. in Detroit. I've gone up the last 3 years and drive back and forth between the two events. There are people in lawn chairs for miles watching all the cruisers. Woodward Dream Cruise is officially a saturday only event but the place is packed with cruisers every night of the week leading up to it. If you have never been there you need to go at least once! http://www.google.com/images?hl=en&q=wo ... 30&bih=664
